Position Summary:
The Trades/Maintenance position focuses on building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance. The maintenance worker will handle both skilled and semi-skilled tasks across multiple trades, including building repairs, HVAC maintenance, and plumbing. Additionally, the role involves supporting the upkeep of the boiler plant. Work is typically performed independently, without direct supervision from a skilled tradesperson.
Facilities Services is a service-oriented organization responsible for the maintenance and operation of the buildings and grounds of Western Oregon University. Our geographic scope encompasses 157 acres and over 60 buildings and facilities, totaling more than 1.3 million square feet. In addition to our primary responsibilities on the Monmouth campus, we also provide services for the facility at 525 Trade Street in Salem, Oregon. Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Driver’s License
- 3–5 years of experience in general building maintenance, including carpentry, mechanical work, painting, plumbing, and/or welding
