Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will ensure a welcoming atmosphere for patients while maintaining efficient administrative processes. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient care plans, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and provide information regarding services.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Assist with preparation of all required patient documents.
- Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, faxing, scanning and attaching to EHR and retrieving and returning voicemails.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency in medical terminology and familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Previous experience in a clinic or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
