DESCRIPTION:
This is a full-time, non-exempt, 187-day (10 month) position. Responsibilities include reviewing, revising and coordinating
the development of curricula and innovative educational programs for courses taught throughout the school Pre-K – 12tth
grade, serves as a resource person in curriculum and instruction across all subject areas, previews new instructional
materials and arranges for piloting by teachers, with the CAO and Department Directors and coordinate the professional
development activities, assists the teaching staff with the implementation of curriculum and instructional materials,
coordinates state testing (PASA and PSSA), analyzes and interprets data, attendance data, and other relevant data
points, using data to identify trends and patterns in educational data and develops reports and visualizations to
communicate these to appropriate stakeholders, collaborates with other educational team members including teachers
and administrators to identify areas of improvement and develop strategies to enhance educational outcomes, using data
to make curriculum development and revision recommendations including identifying new instructional materials and
resources, assists with the development, writing, editing, and printing of special reports and materials (Induction Plan,
Professional Education Plan, CEASD/MSA Reports, etc.), participates in Academic Administrators Meetings when
when appropriate and reports regularly to the department directors and CAO, participates in organizing special school
events including open houses, Homecoming, May Day, and Graduation.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
The Curriculum Coordinator and Data Analyst must have a thorough knowledge of curricula for preschool and school
aged students, and more specifically, have a thorough knowledge of curricula issues and educational needs of children
who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing. A Master’s Degree in Education of the Deaf with Instructional II certification in
Hearing Impaired is required along with several years of teaching experience. Possession of a Supervisory Certificate
in Curriculum and Instruction (#2195) along with experience in staff development work is preferred.
SIGNING REQUIREMENTS:
The Sign Language Proficiency Interview for the position is “Advanced.” The minimum level accepted at
hire is “Intermediate Plus.”
CLEARANCES REQUIRED:
PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse, and FBI Clearance required.
