Job Summary
Western Piedmont Community College seeks applications for an Adjunct Instructor of History to teach topics in the History curriculum, specifically courses in the World Civilizations and American History sequences. The primary responsibilities of faculty are to teach and develop the curriculum by creating an effective learning environment through the use of a variety of
instructional methods, assessing student performance, and maintaining records. Class sessions may take place on a WPCC campus, on Burke County high school campuses, and online.
Minimum Qualifications
A Master’s Degree in History or a master’s degree in a related field and at least 18 graduate semester hours in History.
Teaching experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in community-college teaching strongly preferred.
Experience teaching high-school students preferred.
Experience teaching high-school students preferred.
Experience with online instruction preferred.
