Accounts Payable Associate
Western Products & Affiliates, a locally owned family of dynamic companies involved in diverse industries, is seeking an Accounts Payable Associate to join our team. The Accounts Payable Associate will be responsible for the accurate accounting of accounts payable transactions and management reporting. You will interact with other departments including sales, operations, accounting, IT, and marketing to share ideas to help improve overall accounting functions, all while working in a fun, fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

Handle all aspects of accounts payable and analytical review of job costs:
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and classification
- Assign GL accounts to invoices and perform data entry to generate payment
- File all documentation
- Coordinate vendor 1099, insurance certificates, and subcontract agreements
- Complete month-end closes for accounts payable
- Assist financial accountant in reconciling general ledger accounts to subsidiary records
- Act as the administrative coordinator of company fleet vehicles
- Prepare management reports in Excel
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting or related coursework
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Superior organizational skills and attention to detail with a track record for achieving all key deadlines
- Ability to work with high volumes of data and paper flow with a sense of urgency and efficiency
- Desire to learn additional accounting functions to grow with our company
