Overview: Serves as the primary contact point for Information Services associates specific to operations tasks for both development and production systems. Operates, monitors, executes, makes modifications and schedules online and batch processes on both Mainframe and open systems platforms, meeting production and test schedules for Western & Southern Financial Group systems. Analyzes, corrects and documents production processing, ensuring quality standards are met, and contacting appropriate support resources as needed. Updates daily logs with site-specific information. Grants security access to recover systems when malfunctions occur. Directs Input/Output (I/O) area team in disposition and/or recovery of printed reports. Recommends solutions to work-related problems and helps resolve problems with other areas. Participates in Companywide business continuity/disaster recovery work; performing backup activities, testing, documentation, and recovery. Works with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions. Participates in cross-functional projects as scheduled. Keeps supervisor apprised of statuses and escalates when necessary, following established procedures. Responsibilities: What you will do:
- Operates, monitors, executes and schedules online and batch processes, meeting pre-arranged processing schedules.
- Ensures all problems, either hardware or software, are addressed and corrected appropriately and within a reasonable timeframe. Performs corrective procedures on both mainframe and open system processes utilizing program run instructions, contacting on-call resources, and following escalation procedures, when necessary.
- Communicates and documents problem situations to supervisor and other W&SFG associates as needed.
- Reviews and updates production Job Control Language (JCL) in support of troubleshooting and incident response.
- Provides guidance and support to the I/O area team on printer utilization and meeting processing schedules.
- Maintains confidentiality and security of production systems.
- Trains new associates on operations tasks.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all systems and hardware, as it relates to Computer Center operations.
- Assumes responsibility for shift operations in the absence of supervisor.
- Ensures proper turnover is communicated to the successive shift.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma Or GED. (Required)
- Demonstrated experience working in a large-scale Mainframe and/or Open Systems environment. Possesses working knowledge of operating systems, hardware devices, utility programs scheduling and batch processing. (Required) and
- Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team. Provides examples of collaborating with co-workers in difficult situations. (Required) and
- Proven experience adapting and demonstrating flexibility associated with changes to the operating environment. (Required)
- Proven strong analytical skills, including demonstrated experience identifying and quantifying problems, and providing effective resolutions. - Working knowledge of computer hardware, virtual tape drives and servers.
- Works in an office setting and remains in a stationary position for long periods of time while working at a desk, on a computer or with other standard office equipment, or while in meetings.
- Requires the ability to verbally communicate and exchange accurate information to customers and associates on a regular basis.
