What are the responsibilities and job description for the National Accounts Manager position at Western Specialty Contractors?
The National Accounts Manager assists in the company’s efforts to identify, establish, and develop relationships with large, multi-location customers. They are responsible for achieving assigned strategic account objectives. The Manager represents the entire range of company services to assigned customers, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customers’ needs and expectations are met. The Manager focuses on the headquarters and key buying locations of assigned accounts, while coordinating closely with business development and branch associates assigned to these customers’ other locations.
Research, identify and implement relationships with companies and organizations who fit the predetermined criteria outlined by the Sr. Director of National Accounts
Establishes productive, professional relationships with high level executives and other key contacts for all assigned client accounts
Obtain strong working knowledge of Western services and the benefits of a national account partnership, being able to effectively communicate these benefits to customers
Design and perform informative and persuasive presentations to both large and small groups
Coordinates closely with Western business development and branch personnel, making appropriate introductions to key client contacts to assist with local account development
Coordinates the involvement of Western personnel, including Operations, Legal, IT support and Marketing, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
Proactively assess, clarify, and validate customer needs on an ongoing basis.
Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
Meets assigned activity expectations, implementing goal planning on an annually, quarterly, and monthly basis
Uses CRM and company implemented Business Planning Workbook to plan and track activity
Achieves strategic customer objectives defined by Sr. Director of National Accounts
Closely coordinates with Sr. Director of National Accounts to strategize client targeting priority, Go/No Go processes and account maintenance
Works closely with Regional Business Development Managers to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution
Requirements
Four-year college Bachelor degree or comparable experience
Strong public speaking abilities
5 years sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment
Travel required
