Design and Implement Fire Alarm Systems
Western States Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Systems Designer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and possibly project managing fire alarm systems for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review construction contract documents and coordinate with sub-contractors and general contractors to gather information for designing fire alarm systems.
- Determine construction feasibility and systems possibilities using analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Create detailed drawings using AutoCAD or other specialized fire sprinkler layout software.
- Develop initial schedules for preliminary project work and maintain design historical records for future use.
- Develop positive relationships with customers to ensure company expectations are met and coordinate with other departments for proper handover of job information.
Requirements:
- Applicable degree from a technical school or college.
- NICET certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability with AutoCAD or other specialized fire sprinkler layout software.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Proven ability to perform work in a timely manner and meet deadlines.
- Three years' experience in commercial, industrial, and residential design.
- Must have good communication skills and be willing to coordinate and work well with others.
