Construction Materials Testing Technician- Salt Lake City, UT

We have immediate full-time opportunities for experienced or willing-to-be-trained construction materials testing and inspection technicians. Western Technologies offers on-going training and the ability to gain valuable career experience and technical certifications.
Essential Functions

• Performing specific QA/QC tests on construction materials including soil, concrete, and asphalt per ASTM, ACI, etc. standards
• Collecting samples
• Compiling detailed records of observations, inspections, and test results
• Reviewing reports and test data for accuracy and completeness

Qualifications

• Have good math and written communication skills
• Have a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Be able to work both independently and as a team member
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record
• Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
• Be able to lift and carry 30 to 50 pounds
• Be able to work outside in various weather conditions and irregular hours
