Job Posting: Full -Time -Community Engagement Coordinator
Overview:
· Bridging the gap between our agency and community members.
· Responsible for educating community members about our agency's services, addressing the needs of individuals in crisis, and facilitating their transportation to our Crisis Receiving Center (CRC).
· Maintaining documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations and agency policy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Community Outreach: Actively engage with community members, organizations, and stakeholders to promote awareness of our agency's services and resources.
· Education and Training: Conduct informational sessions, workshops, and community presentations to educate groups about available services, specifically targeting those at risk or in crisis.
· Crisis Intervention: Respond to individuals in crisis, providing immediate support, assessment, and empathy; deploy crisis intervention techniques as needed.
· Transportation Services: Coordinate and provide safe transportation for individuals in crisis to the crisis receiving center, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
· Collaboration: Work closely with local agencies, schools, and community organizations to build partnerships that enhance service delivery and resource accessibility.
· Data Collection & Reporting: Maintain records of community interactions, feedback, and outcomes to assess the impact of engagement efforts and provide recommendations for improvement.
· Continuous Learning: Stay updated on relevant community issues, service trends, and best practices in crisis intervention and community engagement.
· Attending weekend community events
· Willing to work rotating weekends and evenings as needed
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, communications, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
· Experience in community outreach, crisis intervention, or social services preferred.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse populations.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Valid driver’s license with a reliable vehicle for transportation purposes.
