Job Summary
The Head of Community Engagement will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships between our organization and the community. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of community engagement programs that align with organizational goals.
- Foster partnerships with local organizations, stakeholders, and community leaders to enhance outreach efforts.
- Deliver engaging presentations and workshops to educate the community on public health issues and available resources.
- Oversee volunteer management, including recruitment, training, and supervision of volunteers involved in community initiatives.
- Utilize social media platforms to promote programs, engage with the community, and share success stories.
- Collect and analyze data related to program effectiveness and community needs to inform future initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of community engagement strategies with overall organizational objectives.
- Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and conferences to advocate for public health initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven leadership experience in program development or community engagement roles.
- Strong public speaking skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences.
- Background in public health or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent administrative skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience in social media management for outreach purposes.
- Knowledge of addiction counseling practices is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability in volunteer management and supervising teams effectively.
- Proficient in data collection methods and analysis for program evaluation purposes.
