Are you a dynamic and compassionate RN looking to make a significant impact in the lives of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (ID/DD) and co-occurring mental health diagnoses? Join our Crisis Therapeutic Home (CTH) team as a Nursing Manager and play a vital role in a leading 24-hour crisis program. As a highly organized and effective communicator, you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team—which includes psychiatrists, LPNs, and RN nurses, alongside clinically licensed and bachelor-level trained staff—to deliver exceptional Person-Centered nursing care. Responsibilities and Duties for Nursing Manager:
- Serve as a clinical resource and provide in-service training to Licensed, Pre-Licensed, and Bachelor Level staff on medical case management and nutritional health of consumers
- Evaluate medical appropriateness of clients referred to the CTH program and engage in regular consultation with the psychiatrist upon acceptance.
- Create and adjust nursing schedules to meet the needs of new and existing clients
- Provide direct support and/or provision of medical services for new and existing clients in accordance to healthcare and agency regulations
- Provide direct supervision and complete annual performance evaluations for Nursing staff
- Provide health care training to residents and/or families as necessary
- Serve as an advocate for the clients and their families during their time at the CTH
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise nursing staff
Qualifications and Skills for Nursing Manager:
- Education/Equivalent: graduation from an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Licensure/certification: licensed by the state board of nursing to practice as a registered nurse
- Valid current driver’s license and acceptable DMV record.
- Leadership experience at a mental health facility 3 years- preferred
- Committed to making ethically sound decisions regarding patient care within a crisis program
