We are seeking Residential Managers for our agency for our Suffolk, VA locations
Responsibilities and Duties for Residential Manager:
- Supervise, develop, and monitor individuals’ active treatment.
- Compile preadmission assessment data for entry to Residential Programs.
- Compile preadmission assessment data for Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities Admissions/Discharge and Interdisciplinary Teams.
- Prepare quarterly and annual summaries of individual’s progress their Person-Centered Plan (PCP), update Virginia Waiver Management System (WAMS) and service plans as needed.
- Provide on-call support to direct care staff.
- Complete Performance Evaluations on subordinate staff.
- Assure facility safety by monitoring building inspection reports, conducting evacuation drills, training staff in emergency procedures, and participate in life safety code surveys/inspections.
- Compile data for HUD reports.
- Review PCP for monthly summaries of individual’s progress and plans of care.
- Provide service data to surveyors during facility and utilization reviews.
- Assist consumers in utilizing related community services and resources.
- Safeguard consumer confidentiality.
- Prepare documentation, reports and summaries and participate in Interdisciplinary Team meetings.
- Coordinate care between ancillary support services including: Day Program, Community Supports, Support Coordination, Authorized Representatives/ Legal Guardians, Physicians and Specialist such as OT, PT Speech, Behavior Therapy.
- Implement behavior modification techniques as appropriate.
- Monitor staff training and assist with coordinating trainings as needed.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Executive Director.
- Assure safety of all individuals to include monitoring of implementation of each individuals Person Centered Plan and Physicians Orders.
Qualifications and Skills for Residential Manager:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field with one year experience working directly with individuals who have intellectual disabilities or other developmental disabilities.
- Must have a minimum of one-year of supervisory experience.
- Successful employment as a Medicaid Waiver and or ICF-IID Supervisor/Administrator may substitute for direct care experience.
- Must be a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP).
- Possession of valid driver’s license and acceptable DMV record at the time of employment and continuously thereafter.
