What are the responsibilities and job description for the Qualified Mental Health Professional position at Western Tidewater Regional Jail?
Provides a variety of psychological services to include evaluation, assessment, and preliminary diagnosis of inmates within a regional jail. Provides counseling and crisis intervention and emergency services as part of a professional treatment team. Must be knowledgeable of clinical counseling methods and techniques with the ability to observe, assess, evaluate, and modify treatment programs as necessary. Consults with other practitioners and participates in the review of clinical practices and issues. Works with security staff and follows established regulations and protocols. Bachelor’s degree in human services field and QMHP - A certificate required.
Salary commensurate with experience.
