What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Health Sanitarian position at Western Upper Peninsula Health Department?
Western U.P. Health Department is seeking a full-time Environmental Health Sanitarian to provide consultation, inspection and enforcement services for a broad range of environmental health programs. This position serves a five-county region from a base in Hancock.
BS degree in environmental health, environmental engineering, or related field is required. Knowledge of food protection regulations, sewage system design, soil science, and well construction is desirable; excellent communication skills are essential. Registration as a Sanitarian (RS or REHS) or ability to obtain within 2 years of hire is preferred.
Non Registered: Starting Wage: $22.08 - $24.43
Registered: Starting Wage: $24.17 - $26.74
