Your New Role
As our Quality Assurance Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of quality control, ensuring our steel fabrication processes meet customer expectations and industry requirements. You’ll be responsible for:
- Quality Management System: Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS to ensure compliance with AWS, AISC, and ASME standards.
- Quality Assurance Plans: Create, implement and oversee quality assurance procedures for welding, inspections, and testing.
- Inspection & Testing: Manage in-process and final inspections, including non-destructive testing (NDT).
- Welder Qualifications: Oversee welder certifications and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Non-Conformance Resolution: Investigate quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions Supplier.
- Quality Management: Work with vendors to maintain high standards for incoming materials.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements for quality optimization.
- Training & Leadership: Provide training in quality procedures and lead the QA/QC team. Function as a mentor and coach to develop the skills and effectiveness of team members.
- Audits & Compliance: Conduct internal audits and maintain compliance with industry regulations. Coordinate third party inspections when required on in-process and finished work.
Job Requirements, Skills and Certifications
- 3 years of experience in quality assurance within a steel fabrication environment
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, welding procedures, and quality control techniques, AISC, AISI, ASCE standards.
- ASNT NDT Level 2 or 3 Certification is desirable.
- Experience with AWS certifications
- CWI is required
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills are preferred.
