What began as a valve repair and machine shop now features an impressive 65,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility to support DAN-EX manufacturing and valve repair.
Job Title: Quality Inspector
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: Hourly wage for this position ranges from $23-27, based on skill level and performance. The final rate will be determined after evaluating the candidate’s qualification, experience, and demonstrated abilities during the hiring process
Job Brief: responsible for examining and testing products during the manufacturing process to ensure they meet established quality standards by measuring dimensions, identifying defects, and reporting any discrepancies to maintain product consistency and compliance with company specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Inspecting materials and products:
· Visually and physically examine incoming materials and finished products to identify defects or deviations from quality standards. This includes raw castings, , in-process materials, semi-finished products, finished machined parts, and Nickel/Chrome plated parts.
- Using measuring tools:
· Utilize dial gauges, calipers, micrometers (inner and outer diameter), thread gauges, hardness testers, durometers, ultrasonic wall thickness testers, and CMM equipment
- Conducting quality tests:
· Perform necessary tests on products, including functional tests, to ensure they meet performance criteria.
- Reading blueprints and specifications:
· Understand and interpret product drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with design requirements.
- Identifying non-conformities:
· Document and report any quality issues or defects found during inspections.
- Maintaining documentation:
· Record inspection results, findings, and corrective actions taken in detailed reports.
Required skills and qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify minute defects
- Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for using measuring tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
- Basic math skills for calculations and data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to report findings and collaborate with teams
- Knowledge of quality control methodologies and standards
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Utilize marking guns for part identification
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and lifting equipment.
