Western Wisconsin Health is seeking an Urgent Care Provider to join our team of providers. We are looking for a provider who share WWH’s vision of creating healthier tomorrow for our patients and is passionate about supporting our community members along their wellness journeys.
Our ideal candidate will help with all aspects of care, including treatments and consultations as part of a physician/advanced practice provider team. The provider will work in outpatient setting and will practice independently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides clinical care for patients.
- Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
- Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy, and medical equipment.
- Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refers for specialty care when determined.
- Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
- A patient-first approach, working towards increasing access for community.
- Works with administration for program development.
- Acts as liaison with Emergency department and inpatient unit.
- Demonstrates awareness, understanding and respect of cultural diversity and patients of all ages and socioeconomic groups.
- Other duties as assigned.
