About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, friendly and enthusiastic individual to join our Member Services department at our Westfield and Cranford locations. As a Member Services Representative, you will be responsible for greeting members, guests and other staff at the Welcome Center with a welcoming attitude. You will also be involved in enrolling new members, assisting current members with changes to membership/enrollment, monitoring facility security and resolving member problems and concerns.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet members, guests and other staff at the Welcome Center
- Enroll new members and assist with membership changes
- Monitor facility security and ensure adherence to Y procedures and policies
- Resolve member problems and concerns
- Answer phones and direct calls as necessary
- Process payments for membership and program registration
- Give tours to prospective members as instructed
Requirements
- Must have excellent communication skills in English
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen certifications
- Must possess the maturity to handle responsibilities involved in maintaining a safe environment
- Must be able to create positive relationships with members, participants and staff
