Job Description
A Circulating / Scrub Nurse is a registered nurse (RN) who manages the flow of patients and materials in a surgical suite, also called an operating room nurse. Provide direct care that meets both the psychosocial and physical needs of the surgical patient. Responsible for planning and directing all nursing care for patients undergoing operative and gastrointestinal procedures. These responsibilities include setting up for surgical cases/procedures, intra-operative care of the patient, scrubbing, and phase 1. Including conscious sedation administration and recovery.

Work Schedule
- 1.0 FTE/40 hours weekly
- Days into the evenings with an on-call and holiday rotation
- Nursing degree from an accredited college.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Wisconsin.
- Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications. Strong knowledge base of diseases, surgical procedures and care required.
- Able to prioritize and multitask while adapting well to a rapidly changing environment.
- Sound physical assessment skills for patients across the lifespan (pediatric to geriatric)
- Prior OR (Operating Room) Nursing experience required.
- Experience in EPIC computer system.
