Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily kitchen operations across various restaurant outlets.
- Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in food preparation, cooking, and plating.
- Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation in accordance with health and safety standards.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold best practices and standards.
- Assist in inventory management, food rotation, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Collaborate with chefs and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
- Monitor and maintain food safety guidelines, including temperature controls and sanitation.
- Step in as needed to lead and supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.
- Minimum of 3 years in professional kitchen, preferably in a resort setting.
- A diploma from a certified culinary academy is preferred but not required.
- Must obtain and maintain a Food Manager Certification.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining food quality and safety.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic and advanced cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and sauce-making.
