Job Description

Westgate Resorts is looking for a Jr. Sous Chef to support our diverse food and beverage outlets across the resort. Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily kitchen operations across various restaurant outlets.
Support the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in food preparation, cooking, and plating.
Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation in accordance with health and safety standards.
Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold best practices and standards.
Assist in inventory management, food rotation, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
Collaborate with chefs and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service.
Monitor and maintain food safety guidelines, including temperature controls and sanitation.
Step in as needed to lead and supervise the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in professional kitchen, preferably in a resort setting.
A diploma from a certified culinary academy is preferred but not required.
Must obtain and maintain a Food Manager Certification.
Strong organizational skills and a commitment to maintaining food quality and safety.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in basic and advanced cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and sauce-making.
