The Safety & Security Manager oversees and coordinates the activities of uniformed Safety & Security Officers and Supervisors engaged in executing CFI, Inc.'s Security and Safety program.

Job Description
The Safety & Security Manager oversees and coordinates the activities of uniformed Safety & Security Officers and Supervisors engaged in executing CFI, Inc.'s Security and Safety program.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Hire and screen team members.
- Implement and manage government-mandated safety and security programs (such as bloodborne pathogen and hazardous communications training).
- Organize and manage all department-generated records.
- Establish daily procedures and responsibilities for safety and security personnel.
- Conduct routine safety and security inspections and administer an ongoing safety inspection program.
- Create policies and procedures to maintain a proactive and contemporary risk management program.
- Direct and/or conduct internal criminal and civil investigations and serve as a liaison to law enforcement and emergency services personnel.
- Act as a point of contact and liaison for OSHA and other government health and safety organizations.
- Coordinate and/or conduct team member health, safety, and security training programs in collaboration with the corporate risk management division.
- Maintain membership in professional organizations relevant to the risk management field.
- Manage interdepartmental safety and security programs, revising or reorganizing them as needed.
- Fulfill the duties of any subordinate manager in their absence.
- Represent the General Manager or other corporate representatives as directed.
- Serve as a task force coordinator for events requiring specialized security services (such as dignitary protection or special events).
- Act as the facilitator and chairperson of the Occupational Safety and Health Committee.
- Be on call and available to respond to incidents 24 hours a day.
- Respond to critical incidents and assume control of incident scenes.
- Serve as a media relations representative as directed by the General Manager.
- Administer progressive disciplinary actions to subordinate team members as required by corporate policy.

Current or previous certification and experience as a public safety official (law enforcement or fire service) are preferred.
Education And Experience
- Fifth-year college or university program certificate, or
- Two to four years of related experience and/or training, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Additional certification from a government-approved public safety training facility.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
- Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and boards of directors.
