Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly proactive Business Travel Sales Manager at the Westin Cleveland to drive revenue growth and expand our corporate client base. This role requires a go-getter mentality, relentless prospecting, and a strategic approach to capturing new business. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of business travel sales efforts, anticipating market trends and aggressively securing new accounts to exceed revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Results Oriented: Emphasizes a focus on achieving and surpassing sales goals.
  • Strategically identify, solicit, and secure new business travel accounts through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Leverage market insights, negotiate profitable contracts, and deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring repeat business and brand loyalty.
  • Exceed business travel revenue goals by implementing a results-driven sales strategy, including proactive telephone prospecting, outside sales calls, site inspections, and persuasive written communication.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in corporate travel programs, consistently positioning the hotel as the premier choice for business travelers.
  • Drive revenue by effectively selling all facets of the hotel, ensuring a compelling and customized approach tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Take initiative in handling all aspects of account management, ensuring detailed follow-ups and seamless execution from initial solicitation to contract closure.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to guarantee exceptional service delivery, ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close high-value deals with confidence.
  • Stay ahead of market trends, competitor offerings, and evolving client needs to proactively adjust sales tactics and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and industry conferences, proactively positioning the property as a leader in business travel accommodations.
  • Participate actively in daily sales meetings, strategy sessions, and ongoing training to continually refine sales skills and market insights.
  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work independently while contributing to the broader success of the sales team.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned to drive revenue and market share

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven hotel sales experience, with a strong background in business travel sales.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively prospect, negotiate, and close sales with corporate travel accounts.
  • Deep knowledge of market trends, competitor strategies, and key corporate travel buyers.
  • Expertise in sales tools such as Microsoft Office, TravelClick, Lightspeed, and CRM platforms.
  • Strong revenue management skills and the ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, persuade, and build lasting client relationships.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work autonomously while thriving in a team-driven environment.
  • Ability to adapt sales strategies to evolving market conditions and corporate travel trends.
