The Pastry Supervisor supports the Pastry Chef in overseeing the preparation and production of pastries, baked goods, and desserts for the hotel?s dining outlets. This role ensures consistency, quality, and adherence to culinary standards while leading and mentoring the pastry team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily pastry and baking operations, ensuring the preparation of high-quality products in line with hotel standards.
- Collaborate with the Pastry Chef to plan and execute dessert menus for all outlets, including banquets and special events.
- Train, mentor, and motivate pastry team members to develop skills and maintain high performance.
- Delegate tasks and manage schedules to ensure efficient workflow and timely production.
- Monitor the presentation, flavor, and consistency of all baked goods and desserts.
- Conduct regular tastings and reviews to maintain standards of excellence.
- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking ingredients.
- Minimize waste and contribute to cost control efforts by optimizing production methods.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and proper storage of ingredients.
- Work closely with the culinary team to align pastry offerings with overall menu concepts.
- Assist in creating seasonal or event-specific pastries and desserts.

Education and Experience
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Licenses/Certifications
- Food Safety Certification
