DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:
- DCS administration and coordination of but not limited to:
- Develop and maintain desktop applications for Operations.
- PAS Alarm Management
- PAS Integrity Systems
- Daily, Weekly, Monthly Hardware inspections and rounds
- EPO Server / McAfee Anti-virus
- AMS (Delta-V) and FDM (Honeywell)
- Aspen, Aspen One, Process Explorer, MTELL
- Lab works / Aspen Integration
- R2 / ABB Rectifier Interfaces
- OPC, SCADA, Modbus
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, preferred
- Minimum of five to seven years in a DCS or Applications role preferred with applicable software and hardware experience in lieu of technical degree
- Chemical industry experience preferred
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, squat/bend, push/pull; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is sometimes moderate when working inside, however, some of the work may be required in the operating units which mandates usage of required PPE and safety equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, etc. May also result in exposure to outside elements and may require usage of stairs. Travel may occasionally be required.
