This role involves frequent in-person interactions, sales calls on current and prospective clients, analyzing credit requests, and presenting acceptable loan prospects to relevant committees. Active involvement in business associations, community events, and after-hours activities is essential to build relationships and expand Westmark's commercial loan portfolio.
Schedule : Approximately 40 hours within a Monday through Friday work week
Travel Requirements : Occasional Travel
Responsibilities :
Conduct in-person meetings with commercial account clients and loan prospects weekly, including on-site business visits, lunches, and dinners to foster relationships.Participate in after-hours community events, business groups, and associations to develop connections and attract commercial loan prospects.Meet monthly sales call goals and commercial loan volume targets.Prepare and submit monthly reports to the VP of Commercial Lending, detailing calling activity, commercial loan pipeline, and reports on existing commercial loan activities, including loan performance, delinquencies, and commitments.Gather necessary application data, financial statements, and tax returns for analysis of credit requests.Develop materials and make loan presentations to the Commercial Loan Committee and Executive Credit Committee as needed.Perform monthly inspections on commercial construction, commercial loan reviews, and consumer residential construction within assigned territory.Represent Westmark professionally, both during and outside work hours.Complete other duties as assigned by the VP of Commercial Lending.Requirements : Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in a finance-related field and five years of relevant banking experience, preferably with Westmark; or a high school diploma with seven years of experience in commercial lending and management; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.Strong understanding of Westmark’s products, services, and regulatory requirements relevant to commercial lending.Proficient in performing mathematical calculations related to lending.Excellent oral and written communication, problem-solving, and public relations skills.Key Competencies :
Demonstrates a results-driven approach to meet sales and performance targets.Self-starter with the confidence to make assertive presentations and build relationships.Maintains a reliable attendance record and represents Westmark in a courteous, professional manner.Displays meticulous attention to detail in credit analysis, loan documentation, and reporting.Physical Requirements :
