What will I do?
- In this role, you will manage food orders, inventory, and ensure the safe storage of goods in accordance with FLIK Senior Living food production systems and established standards. Your duties will include ordering, receiving, checking deliveries for accuracy, and training staff, all while maintaining compliance with vendor and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow the approved order process to ensure budgetary projections are met.
- Complete paperwork for received orders, including invoices and credit memos.
- Inspect deliveries for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Minimize losses, waste, and fraud through proper receipt, handling, and storage of goods.
- Distribute products to Dining Services areas as required.
- Train and direct staff in storeroom operations.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and maintain efficient storeroom operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service ordering and receiving.
- Knowledge of food handling techniques and basic computer skills (Microsoft and Google apps).
- Experience with shipping and receiving.
- Strong communication skills and customer service experience.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and operate hand trucks and other equipment.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Comfortable working in kitchen, storeroom, and refrigerated areas.
