The Department of Education invites applications for a full-time tenured track assistant professor position in Education starting on August 15, 2025. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching a 4-4 load of introductory and upper-level courses in Westminster College Education department, advise students in the major, and serve as a college supervisor for our student teachers. Successful candidates will also contribute to our undergraduate research program and demonstrate an appreciation of holistic student development.

Essential Functions:
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver effective instruction.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and assessment practices.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional technology.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strength in advising/mentoring students.
- Ability to give effective feedback.
Job Requirements:
Education: An earned doctorate in Education or related field. LETRS Certified and/or evidence of expertise and excellence in applying the Science of Reading. Evidence of excellent teaching experience at the early childhood or elementary level and in the Higher Education setting.
