Description
Westminster Theological Seminary seeks to fill a full-time faculty position. The successful candidate will manifest a keen understanding of and commitment to the theology of the Westminster Standards and the distinctives of Westminster Theological Seminary.
In his capacity as full-time faculty and member of the field committee on Pastoral Theology, the professor will report to the Dean of Pastoral Theology, and through him, to the Chief Academic Officer.
In his capacity as Dean of Students the professor will report to the Chief Academic Officer.
Faculty Responsibilities

Description
Westminster Theological Seminary seeks to fill a full-time faculty position. The successful candidate will manifest a keen understanding of and commitment to the theology of the Westminster Standards and the distinctives of Westminster Theological Seminary.

Faculty Responsibilities
- Curriculum delivery of Graduate and Doctoral Level Courses - Fall, Spring and Summer terms, Online and Residential programs. Courses include: Pastoral Counseling, Marriage Counseling, Pastor as Peacemaker, Gospel Communication
- Academic research, writing, and speaking
- Student mentoring and academic advising for MDiv / DMin, up to 4 advisees per year
- Participation in Westminster Media
- Dean of Students
- Individual meetings with incoming students, with the help of the Associate Dean of Students
- Individual meetings with students prior to their final year, with the help of the Associate Dean of Students
- Meetings with students for pastoral care and counsel as needed, with regular office hours to facilitate time with students
- Lead pastoral care in student crises
- Organize and promote regular Wednesday chapel meetings
- Schedule chapel series, speakers, and student leaders
- Provide pastoral welcome at other occasional events
- Assist in planning and executing new student orientation
- Oversee Student Organizations
- Oversee student discipline process for residential students
- The Dean of Students oversees the Associate Dean of Students.
- Ordained (or receivable) as a Teaching Elder/Minister in a confessional Reformed and Presbyterian denomination.
- Ideally a minimum of 10 Years experience as a pastor.
- Preferably holds a DMin or PhD in biblical counseling or related discipline.
- Has a reputation for Christlikeness, relating well to people, and collegial collaboration with others in ministry.
- Is committed by conviction to a biblical counseling model.
- Is recognized as an effective teacher, counselor, and mentor.
