Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Corrections Officer for the Westmoreland County Prison. The purpose of this position is to monitor the activities of inmates and ensure the security of prison facilities. Job duties include, but are not limited to, maintaining care, custody, and control of inmates, maintaining the facility's security, and processing new inmates.
Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent, and successfully complete the required training at the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections Training Academy upon completion of a probationary period.
