Westmoreland Mechanical Testing & Research is looking to fill our Maintenance and Repair Technician role. In this position you will be involved in the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of all company equipment. You will be repairing machinery that is made with hydraulics, electronics/electrical, and HVAC components. This is a great opportunity for motivated individuals who want a chance to work in a fast-paced environment and learn some new skills, all within the Latrobe/Youngstown area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs preventative and responsive maintenance on all machinery-electronics
- Uses a volt and current meter to troubleshoot electronics and electrical systems
- Reads electrical, electronics, and hydraulic schematics
- Assists in developing long-term solutions for all equipment and facility issues
- Adheres to safety practices and policies to create a safety-first culture
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Qualifications and Skills:
- US Citizenship required
- Associate degree in a related field preferred
- 1-5 years’ experience in maintenance and repair preferred
- Valid Driver’s license and willingness to travel between locations (Latrobe and Youngstown, PA)
- Understanding and knowledge of electronic controls and electrical wiring
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as other organizational/planning tools
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs in a physical environment
- Ability to stand, sit, or move around for prolonged periods of time
