What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acceleration Resource Teacher position at Westmorland Union Elementary School District?
Job Summary
An Acceleration Resource Teacher is a Certificated temporary employee with an
appropriate credential, employed pursuant to Education Code section 44909 in programs
and projects to perform services conducted under contract with public or private
agencies, or categorically funded projects which are not required by federal or state
statutes. Acceleration Resource Teachers will be under the direct supervision of the Principal and
provide services in special day classes. They will be required to provide special
instruction to students in a group, one-on-one or in a special team teaching situation and
to perform other instructional duties desired or required to assist in and support the
implementation of the school plan and existing or newly established instructional
programs.
Requirements / Qualifications
Valid California Multiple Subject Credential.
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificates issued by an authorized agency.
Valid California driver's license.
Any combination equivalent to : bachelor's degree and a valid credential issued by the state of California.
Bilingual preferred.
Resume.
Letters of Recommendation (3 current letters - within a year).

Employment contingent upon receiving DOJ fingerprint clearance.
