Primary Responsibilities:
- Read landscape plans and coordinate with designer and Scheduler to ensure efficient and accurate project installations
- Partner with Scheduler and design team to clarify scope of work and perform pre-install site inspection
- Ensure each client agrees with the scope of work before the work is to begin and partner with scheduler if there are to be changes
- Ensuring that crews have the correct plants, amounts of bulk material and working equipment per order
- Interpret and communicate design layouts to the install crew
- Instruct crew members in proper work methods and standards
- Monitor crew work quality, insure adherence to time schedules and safe work practices
- Provide productive and actionable performance feedback and input into performance reviews.
- Work alongside crew performing tasks such as grading, planting and lawn installations to ensure safe efficient service.
- Ensure crew’s paperwork is complete and legible
- Manage schedule as to be on site for the more technical installs
- Always represent the company in a courteous and professional manner.
- Possess a positive attitude and engage coworkers with respect.
- Maintain Hoisting and DOT licenses.
Requirements:
- Experience running work crews efficiently and safely
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Mass Hoisting license within 1 year of date of hire
- Class A driver’s license within 1 year of date of hire
- Must be dependable, punctual with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work outside in all weather (will need work boots)
- Be a team player working with a diverse group of people
- Speak and write English clearly
- Possess basic “landscaping” and social Spanish vocabulary
Preferred Experience:
- Horticulture degree or equiv. experience
- Plant knowledge - tree, shrub, perennial
- Ornamental pruning
- Lighting, drainage, masonry
- Design, layout experience
- Equipment operation and maintenance
- Scheduling and estimating Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak and understand English
Additional Information
- Job Title: Plant Installation Foreperson
- Work Environment: Outside in all types of weather must be willing to work at least one weekend day and some holidays.

- Pay Range: $35 - $40 per Hour BOE
