Plant Installation Team Member

Weston Nurseries, one of the area’s leading garden centers and wholesalers of plant material and gardening products is excited to announce we are seeking a dedicated and professional individual join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a customer-centric retail or hospitality environment and thoroughly enjoy working alongside fellow employees and customers.

The Plant Installation Team Member be working alongside a dedicated team installing plants (primarily trees shrubs, perennials) for residential homes daily.  Our aim is to properly install plants so that they thrive in their new environment while operating in an efficient and safe manner.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Loading up trucks at the beginning of each day
• Unloading trucks at the job site
• Vegetation removal and preparing planting areas
• Installation of plant material utilizing tools, planting products and equipment, following our proper planting techniques
• Maintaining job site and staging area in a clean and organized manner throughout the day
• Loading up debris onto trucks and cleaning up the property to a high standard
• Following order of operations as directed by the supervisor while working at an appropriate pace that balances quantity with quality
• Always complying with company safety policy. 

Requirements:

• Excellent communication skills. Ability to speak and understand English
• Be a team player working with a diverse group of people
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Must be dependable, punctual with a strong work ethic
• Must be flexible with workday hours on occasion where projects run long
• Be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. 
• Be able to lift 50~75 pounds of weight frequently throughout workday. 
• Be able to work in adverse weather conditions

• Work Environment: Outside in all types of weather must be willing to work at least one weekend day and some holidays.

• Pay Range: $20 - $25 per hour BOE
