How will I help?
The role located in New York offers the opportunity to continue this leadership in new markets and support CIBs growth aspirations internationally. It presents an exciting opportunity to build and grow the Project Finance, the Energy, Infrastructure and Resources (EIR) business and broader CIB/WIB business across the UK, Europe and North America, working with a team of professionals initially located in the UK and the USA with planned future team expansions into Europe.
As Director, you will be a part of the Project Finance team, which supports the origination and execution of Infrastructure & Utilities and Project Finance transactions .
You will lead the origination and execution of complex debt transactions by evaluating the credit quality of complex debt transactions across multiples sectors including the Power & Renewables, Infrastructure sectors.
The person will be a key member of the Project Finance business ensuring excellence in product delivery, effective utilisation of systems and risk analysis, resulting in customer satisfaction and sustainable profitability. This is a proactive role in ascertaining the credit quality of complex debt transactions and working collaboratively across WIB including working closely with EIR and FM on new to bank debt opportunities.

- As Director you will be a leader of the business with a focus on originating and executing new opportunities.
- You will have strong capabilities in structuring, negotiating, documenting and seeking credit approval for project financings.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of complex debt structures and other funding solutions.
- People management including coaching, developing and leading a team of specialists.
- Develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Including
- Leading the credit decision processes.
- Actively participates in origination and customer account planning process.
- Independently works with customers to assess credit risk.
- Undertakes post deal reviews both external & internal.
- Actively engages target customers & Risk to ensure policies and procedures are compliant.

- Strong analytical skills combined with an understanding of key business drivers.
- Strong cash flow modelling and credit writing skills.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of customer and investor markets.
- Ability to work to tight timetables in a deal driven environment.
