Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Car Sales Professional to join our dealership team. Car sales experience is not required, but it is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a passion for automobiles and a strong desire to provide exceptional customer service. As a Car Sales Executive, you will be responsible for guiding customers through the car buying process, ensuring they find the right vehicle that meets their needs while maximizing sales opportunities.
About Us:
We are a family owned and operated independent Car Dealership located in Wright City, Mo. We currently keep 60 units in stock with over 120 units in rotation. With only one salesman, our Dealership sold over 400 units in 2024. Currently this year, still with only 1 salesman, we are on track for more. We are also opening a 6 bay, on site, mechanic shop for faster turn around of inventory. We are in the process of expanding our inventory levels and are looking for a skilled salesman to fill the gap with the influx of lead flow. We use most of the larger online car site platforms for advertising (i.e carfax, cargurus, etc) and we have more lead flow than our one salesman can handle. Our pay plan is setup to make you a ton of money if you have, what we call, 'the desire for more'.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers in the dealership, providing a welcoming environment.
- Understand customer needs and preferences to recommend suitable vehicles.
- Conduct thorough presentations of vehicle features and benefits, demonstrating knowledge of inventory.
- Negotiate sales terms with customers to close deals effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions in the dealership's system.
- Follow up with leads through cold calling and other outreach methods to generate sales opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and sales techniques.

Skills
- Proven experience in sales, preferably within a dealership environment but not required.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close deals effectively.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries and follow-ups.
- Public speaking skills to effectively present vehicles and promotions to customers.
- Knowledge of inventory control processes to manage stock levels efficiently.
