Location: Remote - must reside in AZ, NV, OR, or Northern CA (ONLY considering applicants in these areas)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Position Status: Regular Full-Time
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM PST
Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $80,000
Travel: Up to 10% / month
Job Summary
This role represents Westport Properties to new and existing team members, current and future partners, investors, and vendors. It requires a high degree of professionalism, diplomacy, and tact in all situations and under all circumstances. The ideal Constructions and Facilities Coordinator candidate has a background in coordinating contracts and services. Has a vast knowledge of day-to-day maintenance projects for commercial and residential properties. This position requires project management and can move from task to task easily, keeping track of many moving parts at once. The Construction and Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining effective communication, and relationships with multiple departments, field management, and WPI team members at all levels. Will also be an example and mentor to Property Service Coordinators Support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures the successful execution of annual construction improvement projects (capital expenditures) from concept to completion documenting repair actions daily
- Day-to-day supervision of cost to manage budgets, expense management/control and site improvement strategies through the direct supervision of Construction Project Manager for all new and existing properties on a market-by-market and site-by-site basis.
- Support the operations department
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of vendors and general contractors in different states/regions. Obtain and review necessary documentation needed to be categorized a WPI Preferred Vendor
- Coordinate and schedule vendor bids and work (W9 and Liability Insurance)
- Work with city departments to coordinate inspections and approvals
- Coordinate and schedule facility maintenance items
- leading and supervising Maintenance Techs staff.
- Research vendors and solutions to routine maintenance challenges
- Support fellow coordinators when in need
- Support and handle escalated requests
- Review, audit requests and escalate issues deemed “escalated requests”
- Review and audit facility vendors, and task schedules
- Review and audit 3rd party vendor management procedures
- Assist in other facilities duties as assigned
- Must be able to perform a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another, with frequent interruptions or distractions and within tight deadlines
- Must be an initiative-taker able to work in a high pace environment
Education / Experience
- Bachelor or associate degree or equivalent experience required
- At least 5 years of commercial or residential construction management experience with emphasis in facilities management.
- Strong project accounting skills, including budget development, ongoing project cost monitoring and contract management.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Strong computer skills (MS Suite office of programs including Word, Excel, Access, and Project)

- Highly organized and able to track progress on multiple concurrent projects
