Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Police Records Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, managing data entry tasks, and providing excellent customer service. Duties
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic records in accordance with department policies.
- Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.
- Utilize secure and confidential data systems to enter and retrieve data for mandated reporting.
- Answer phone calls professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while assisting customers and colleagues.
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence related to records management.
- Redact documents and process them for release under public disclosure.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication regarding records requests.
- Assist in the development of filing systems that enhance efficiency and accessibility of information.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and confidentiality standards.
- Process and submit CPL applications.
- Submit reports and digital files to other offices such as prosecutors, defense attorneys and others.
Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks appropriately.
- Strong customer service skills, capable of addressing inquiries professionally.
- Familiarity with phone systems and effective communication techniques is essential.
