What are the responsibilities and job description for the Card Operations Specialist I position at WeStreet Federal Credit Union?
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Embody the Credit Union’s core values of Trust, Integrity, Teamwork and Making a Difference and ensure that new employees understand and embrace these core values.
- Processing credit card applications and opening new accounts in accordance with established procedures and policies.
- Conducting card maintenance, including updating cardholder data and account information, monitoring account activity, and processing cardholder requests for changes to account settings.
- Responding to inquiries from cardholders or internal employees regarding research on account or transactions and providing excellent customer service.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, the Truth in Lending Act, The Card Act of 2003, Regulation E and OFAC. Maintain the highest level of data security and confidentiality. Conducting cardholder verification and authentication processes, and escalating issues or concerns as necessary.
- Performing daily reconciliations of card transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data, and identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Supporting card program performance by reviewing reports and trends as well as entering debit card disputes in EAccess and working with internal customers to very correct information in coming in.
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain the smooth functioning of the card program.
- Performing other duties as assigned by management.
