Westrock Coffee is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain QA Manager to join our Corporate Food safety and Quality Assurance team. This position will be responsible for oversight and management of food safety and quality in our supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of supply chain quality assurance processes, regulatory and food safety requirements and should have the ability work cross functionally with all supply chain actors to ensure all products sourced meet regulatory and customer expectations

- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers ensuring that raw materials, packaging and other materials sourced meet quality and food safety standards
- Oversee the implementation and execution of the supply chain Quality Management system for Westrock Coffee. The supply chain QM system should be built on food safety principles and ensure compliance to industry standards (FSMA, GFSI, FDA etc.)
- Establish a supplier approval process to ensure supply chain actors are vetted out and a approval process established in accordance to the risk associated with suppliers
- Proficient in conducting risk analysis of suppliers to ensure phased approach of rolling out QM programs to all supply chain actors
- Proficient in auditing supply chain actors and working with supplier food safety documentation to assign risk-based approach to supplier evaluation
- Establish automated supplier quality management systems to effectively and efficiently manage supplier documentation and approvals. Oversee cross functional training of these systems so cross functional departments are well versed in using this system to manage supplier documentation
- Work cross functionally with facility Quality Assurance departments to manage resolution of quality issues related to product, food safety concerns, customer complaints ensuring time corrective and preventive actions are taken
- Create supplier quality expectation documentation for supply chain actors such as suppliers, warehouses and transportation vendors.
- Work cross functionally with global procurement in evaluation of supply chain actors by using data and analytical results. Establish KPI metrics to present regular reports to senior leadership on supply chain food safety, quality and performance.
- Identify potential risks related to supply chain actors based on documentation review, product life cycle management and potential food safety and quality risks. Help procurement teams by developing mitigation strategies and establishing contingency supply chain quality processes
- Work cross functionally with Procurement, Regulatory and QA to understand emerging needs of business, customers or regulatory and compliance world and work with supply chain actors to ensure compliance
- Work with legal to review supply chain QA documentation to ensure supply chain risk is mitigated and documented.
- Work cross functionally to develop and implement processes to ensure systematic and efficient supplier and ingredient approval. Work with each Westrock manufacturing facility on ensuring consistency and food safety and quality of incoming material, timely escalation of issues to suppliers and helping QA with resolution of any quality and/or supplier issues
- Maintaining all documentation around supplier quality systems to be ready for all regulatory, compliance, customer or third-party audits
- Actively participate in the recall process and execution of a recall plan in case any of the supply chain product is involved in a recall.
- Performs other duties as assigned
