Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician, Cedar Rapids, IA

Shift: 2nd and 3rd shifts

Pay Range: $23.90 - $31.99, based on knowledge and experience

How you will impact WestRock:

Must maintain excellent attendance reliability

· Technical understanding and skills with a focus on safety Familiarity and experience with motors, drives, contacts, relays, timers, PLC's, PC's.

· Corrugated equipment maintenance experience or related heavy industrial maintenance experience

· Ability to perform electrical, mechanical and welding work as necessary

· Ability to read and understand wiring schematics, machine manuals, mechanical drawings and blue prints

· Knowledge of preventive maintenance on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines

· Understanding of control circuits, hydraulics and pneumatics

· Must be able to work in a 24/7 environment

· Willing to work any shift

· Willing to work overtime, as needed

· Ensure compliance with all Safety and Quality standards, processes, procedures

· Willingness to take initiative, learn new skills and help team members

· General computer skills such as the ability to navigate through program screens

· Strong reasoning and problem solving skills

· Ability to read and understand production specifications

· Awareness of OSHA standards for electrical safety

What you need to succeed:

Corrugating and manufacturing experience, a plus

· Associate's degree or higher in Industrial Maintenance, Machining, or a related field experience preferred

· Demonstrated advanced training or certification in the maintenance mechanical/electrical industry

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $26.74 per hour
