What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician- Pacific, MO. position at Westside Personnel?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Coordinate, arrange and provide for the completion of corrective and preventative maintenance in accordance with operating procedures, practices, and financial considerations.
Responsible to ensure that major equipment and furnishings throughout all buildings are maintained in safe, operable condition and / or arrange for replacement.
General upkeep and repair of building structures (inside and outside).
Work with outside contractors when required for inspection and repair of building and equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
CORE SKILLS :
Ability to read and understand work instructions, manuals, and schematics.
Detail-oriented and consistent.
Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
Works well as both a productive member of a team and individually.
Ability to properly maintain and perform troubleshooting on equipment.
Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Demonstrated positive attendance record.
Formal training or demonstrated skills and knowledge of general maintenance including equipment and facility repairs necessary.
Forklift certification desired.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS :
Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds at a time.
Ability to walk, kneel, bend and use a ladder or stool.
Ability to work in outside conditions during all seasons.
Ability to climb multi-levels by stairs and ladders and work from elevated platforms.
Ability to drive a forklift or use a pallet jack as required.
Must have excellent hand-eye coordination.
Ability to differentiate between sizes, shapes and colors for proper material identification.
Must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for repairing and installing production / manufacturing equipment and inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per specifications. They will diagnose equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
