What are the responsibilities and job description for the Charge Nurse - RN/LPN - SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $15,000, THIRD SHIFT OPENING, $30.00/HR-$42.50/HR (NEGOTIABLE DOE), FLEX SCHEDULING, AND MORE! position at Westview of Indianola Care Center?

Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing:
  • Supervises nursing team members whom provide direct resident care
  • Communicates with all health care providers and partners
  • Coordinates and implements nursing care as ordered by the physician and agreed to by the resident
  • Documents resident status / care / services in a timely, accurate, and comprehensive manner
  • Responsible for the provision of nursing services within the scope of licensure and in compliance with current standards of practice and corporate/care center policies and procedures
  • Follows the plan of care and ensures the overall health and well-being of each resident
Qualifications:
  • Must have an unrestricted and active Iowa (or compact state) RN or LPN license
  • Experience in skilled nursing / long term care (LTC) preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal and state nursing facility rules and regulations, including licensing, OSHA, CDC, and Public Safety
  • If licensed as an LPN, the Iowa Board of Nursing requires the completion of a Board-approved supervision course within six (6) months of working in a charge / supervisory capacity
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills specific to the English language
  • COVID-19 vaccination required, with exceptions for medical and religious accommodations when reasonable
