Ministry Area Purpose:
The Westwood Preschool exists to provide opportunities for children to learn and grow socially, emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and physically in God’s grace, spilled out to them through people and programs that will foster and nurture God’s love for them.
Role:
To assist the Preschool staff in implementing all aspects of the preschool program.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain records for all preschool students using preschool software and confidential filing system
- Maintain preschool program registration records, including confirmations, class assignments, communication, and attendance
- Maintain all accounting records for tuition payments, registration, activity fees, Lunch Bunch, and other revenue generated by the preschool
- Assist in maintaining and distributing all written materials for the preschool including brochures, maps, communications, and other materials as required
- Assist in preparing materials for preschool programming, special events, meetings, etc.
- Assist staff with software systems
- Monitor supply and material needs for programming and snacks
- Maintain Lunch Bunch registrations, payment, room assignments, and any special circumstances
- Maintain preschool library
- Assist in classrooms as needed; including teacher needs, Lunch Bunch, lunch breaks for full day class, or as substitute as needed
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Requirements
- Someone who lives a life that honors God in heart, actions, and relationships, with the goal of becoming more like Jesus
- Three or more years general office experience (preferred)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools
- Qualify to meet DHS standards for assistant teacher (preferred)
- Database and graphic experience (preferred)
- Creative, flexible, and versatile working style
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Physically able to assist children for safety and supervision indoors and outside throughout the preschool day. Including but not limited to; ability move quickly, navigate stairs, lift, bend, stoop, climb, kneel, and reach as needed. Able to assist children into and out of cars in all weather conditions
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Ability to relate to other Westwood staff and church attenders at large

- Remain a member in good standing of Westwood Community Church
