ABOUT THE ROLE
Westwood Holdings Group has an exciting opportunity for a college student looking to develop their human resources knowledge and experience in a fast-paced, corporate environment that offers you a chance to learn and develop key HR skills while contributing to a positive company culture. The intern will assist the Human Capital Department with a wide variety of human resource projects related to compliance, data and analytics, diversity and inclusion, employee communication, HRIS, recruiting, talent management, training and development, benefits and compensation. This role is in-person and is located in our Dallas office. The hours are part-time with an opportunity to go full-time during the summer.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Assist with sourcing, recruiting, tracking and on-boarding of candidates and new hires.
- Help manage and audit employee records, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with legal requirements
- Support data analytics related to projects and initiatives
- Assist in the development and improvement of company policies and procedures
- Assist in the creation or updating of training and development programs
- Aid in the coordination of employee engagement initiatives and events
- Gain hands-on experience across all areas of Human Resources to include benefits, compliance, compensation, data and analytics, diversity and inclusion, employee communication, HRIS, recruiting, talent management and training and development.
- Support other projects and assignments as needed for the Human Capital department.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Minimum Education Required
- Currently pursuing a 4-year degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field.
- Enrolled as either a Sophomore, Junior or Senior with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age and possess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
