Food Production Supervisor

A Food Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of production teams in a food manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient, safe, and quality production. They manage production schedules, monitor quality and safety standards, and train and supervise production workers. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Safety and Sanitation:

  Implement and enforce safety and sanitation policies, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. 

• Team Management:

  Supervise, train, and coach production workers, addressing performance issues and providing guidance. 

• Inventory Management:

  Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to prevent shortages and ensure smooth operations. 

• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

  Identify and resolve production problems, equipment malfunctions, and other issues that may arise. 

• Documentation and Reporting:

  Maintain accurate records of production processes, quality control results, and other relevant data. 

• Compliance:

  Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices. 

• Production Planning and Scheduling:

  Establish daily, weekly, and monthly production goals and schedules, assigning tasks and responsibilities to employees. 

• Quality Control:

  Ensure food products meet specified quality standards and adhere to food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, GMP). 

Skills and Qualifications:

• Leadership and Management Skills: Ability to motivate, train, and supervise a team of production workers. 

• Knowledge of Food Safety and Quality Standards: Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and other relevant regulations. 

• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to identify and resolve production issues. 

• Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management. 

• Attention to Detail: Ability to ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. 

• Experience in Food Production: Previous experience in a food manufacturing or processing facility is highly desirable.
