Job Summary
This job is primarily responsible for purchasing and sourcing activities in support of regional operations. The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of organizational policies, supplier relationship development and management, and traditional purchasing practices representing the Sourcing & Supply Department to front line operations.
Responsibilities
Essential duties include the following :
- Responsible for regional purchasing on behalf of station operations (i.e. placing orders for standard supplies like uniforms, office supplies, operational supplies, safety supplies, etc.).
- Review and research potential new suppliers prior to set up in the company’s accounting system, select and maintain a preferred supplier list for the region
- Ensure adherence to standard organizational finance policies and procedures
- Manage employee appreciation program redemption and fulfillment process
- Communicate with and drive internal customers to centralized purchasing programs through daily interactions
- Manage day-to-day interaction with centralized supplier partners and review monthly centralized invoices to ensure contract pricing compliance
- Negotiate / resolve centralized supplier grievances and claims against the company
- Provide research and support to Purchasing Manager and Director
- Other duties as assigned.
