What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coordinator Baggage Control position at WFS?
Job Summary
Must be customer services oriented. Coordinates contractual needs of customer required baggage handling in the bag room; third party baggage handling, including the off-load and on-load of aircraft. Assigned duties include; monitoring the bag room functions in accordance with customer requirement, ensuring that baggage and / or containers are loaded in the proper aircraft positions / bins, Load Control Agents are provided applicable information, and Weight and Balance agents and offices are provided applicable information. Ensures that flight arrival / departure times, on-line baggage transfer information, and passenger stand-by information is communicated to applicable departments or ground handler. Reports abnormalities to customer.
May also be required to conduct training, including the use of bag tag scanners, interpretation of load sheets, and 3-letter city codes. Comply with WFS site security procedures for assigned warehouse and other operations. Remain cognizant of WFS staff, security contractors, and visitors’ activities and report security breaches, suspicious occurrences, or non-compliance with the site security plan to managers or via the WFS whistleblower program.
Rate of Pay : $17.50 per hour

- Ability to complete routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to speak audibly and clearly while using telephone to speak to peers, internal and external customers and contacts.
- Must be willing to wear uniform and insignia as prescribed by the Company or customer.
- Personal appearance and grooming that will present a favorable corporate image.
- Reports to work on a regular and timely basis.
