Field Service Engineer

Schedule: Day Shift: M- F Shift 1 for 3 months - Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday

Pay Rate: $26-$28/hr.

Location: Hillsboro, OR

Travel: Occasional Travel - 30%

Position Type: Full Time

Responsibilities And Duties

• Startup and commissioning of new equipment.
• Collaborate with team members and technical support.
• Perform routine and schedule preventative maintenance on tools.
• Answer technical questions from our customers about system repairs and applications.
• Stay current with the latest upgrades and training of new products and software.
• Assist Field Service Engineers with warranty repairs, retrofits, and troubleshooting of waste gas abatement systems.
• Work with onsite teams on maintenance issues, alarms, and repairs.
• Comply with OSHA, local, customer, and company safety requirements.
• Standing for extended periods.
• Travel to other customers and locations if requested
  
  

Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Relevant job experience in electronics, mechanics, or equivalent military experience
• Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical-plumbing systems
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Outlook, Word, Teams)
• Ability to read, understand, and follow schematics, plans, and other similar documents
• Experience working inside a semiconductor manufacturing facility preferred
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• Must be initiative-taking, driven, and goal-oriented
• Efficient and cost-conscious work methods
• Professional appearance and high-quality standards
• Degree in the field of electronics preferred
• Basic to intermediate PLC experience is a plus
• High voltage electrical experience is a plus
• Associate degree (preferred)
• 1yr Exp with Mechanical or electrical (Preferred)
  
  

Physical Effort/Activities

May be required to walk up to 5 miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs. at a time, ability to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift to 50 pounds. The physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
